What is Ballet Barre Fitness?

Ballet Barre Fitness is a great way for adults to exercise whilst introducing themselves into ballet and to keep working on their ballet technique. Located in the iconic Moseley Dance Centre on Moseley Road we run our classes weekly with routines created and directed by a I.D.T.A qualified Instructor.

 

By working through specially designed dance exercises Ballet Barre fitness teaches you how to use the body to create graceful poised movements whilst working muscles you never knew you had. At a Ballet Barre Fitness class we always start with a warm up where we introduce using the feet correctly whilst starting to warm up the whole body. As an adult fitness class we encourage working on the core and focusing the mind to help us facilitate the beautiful ballet movements.

 

There are many exercises and ways to adapt the movement in Ballet Barre Fitness which suits all abilities, meaning all levels of dance experience and fitness levels benefit from taking this adult ballet fitness class. During each Ballet Barre session we not only work on ballet technique but we also incorporate stretches to help increase not only our ability within dance but help increase our general sense of well being.

 

As the classes have limited space we are able to provide a safe, focused, friendly, dance environment where you can work on improving your dancing fitness and skill without judgment.
